Jim Lichtscheidl

Jim has been seen in seven TTT shows; Waiting For Godot, King Lear, At Your Service, In A Garden, Ragtime, Little Shop of Horrors, and Richard III. Jim has also served as choreographer for Ragtime, Little Shop, and Richard III. Other theaters Jim has performed at include Brave New Workshop, Guthrie, Jungle Theater, Theater de la Jeune Lune, and Theater Latte Da. Jim's original theatrical creation, KNOCK!, received rave reviews and a 2006 Ivey Award. In addition to acting, directing, choreography and writing, Jim has taught improvisation and movement at various schools and workshops. Jim's pastimes include golf, tennis, basketball and bicycling. He is an extremely competitive Scrabble player, having memorized all the two and three letter words, and will accept any challengers, bring it on, he's not afraid to use qi, za, or xu. (All words.)

Jim's TTT highlights include a moment in Waiting For Godot:"...there is a reoccurring bit where my character wants a carrot, but there are only turnips. I keep forgetting this fact and ask again and again for the carrot, only to have an audience member at Parker Skyview blurt out 'There AREN'T any!! Sheesh.' ...and a moment from Little Shop of Horrors: "We were performing at Dorothy Day, one of the more difficult sites for TTT actors because focus is sometimes hard to achieve in the center of this hub...the cast was singing "Skid Row" and I stood on the table singing and I looked out and all around us people were watching, not moving around but focused on the show we had brought to them. It was a moment that reinforced why I do TTT shows, to bring theater to people who normally wouldn't see it, and if only for a moment, communicate in a way that only live theater can achieve."
