The Star Tribune named Doubt and Man of La Mancha #1 & 2 on its Top 10 list, while City Pages and TC Daily Planet both named Doubt and the Pioneer Press chose Man of La Mancha for their Top 10 choices.

Record Crowds for TTT's Greater MN Tour
TTT's performances of As You Like It in Mankato are completely full, marking record sales for the company in greater MN. The company is thrilled to be taking its high-quality, award-winning theater to new communities throughout Minnesota. Read the Mankato Free Press's coverage here. TTT Wins 2011 Ivey Award for Doubt
TTT's 2011 production of Doubt was one of two shows recognized at the Monday, September 19, 2011, Ivey Awards for overall excellence. The Iveys are the annual celebration honoring and showcasing the work of professional theater companies and artists. The production was directed by Peter Rothstein and featured Sally Wingert, Kris Nelson, Jane Froiland, and Regina Marie Williams. This is TTT's third Ivey; the company was previously recognized for its 2010 production of Othello and Steve Hendrickson's performance as the lead in Cyrano in 2005.

Bequest Establishes Reserve Fund
TTT mourns the death of Donald P. Stapf who chose to leave his estate to multiple charities, one of which was Ten Thousand Things. Mr. Stapf's creative spirit and energetic, practical problem solving talents were put into service in his work at the Guthrie Theater, Minnesota Science Museum of Minnesota and Arizant Healthcare where he developed products that have benefited millions of patients. This incredible bequest will keep his generous spirit alive and help ensure our company's longevity. A Year of Awards and Record-Breaking Sales
TTT's sales increased 21% and contributions from individuals grew by 33% in 2010–11, resulting in a record-breaking year for the company. In addition, tht company earned numerous awards and special recognition, including a 2011 Sally Award for Vision for bringing the highest quality theater to audiences in prisons, homeless shelters and housing projects, while engaging veteran theater goers as well. Michelle Hensley was chosen City Pages Artist of the Theater and Minnesota Monthly's Best Stage Director of 2010. Several shows made top ten lists. Read more details here.

Michelle Hensley Elected to TCG Board

TTT Joins Forces with Theater of War
TTT joined forces with Theater of War (TOW) Productions for two local readings in November and December 2011 of Sophocles’ Ajax. “These ancient plays timelessly and universally depict the psychological and physical wounds inflicted upon warriors by war,” says TOW Artistic Director Bryan Doerries. “By presenting these plays to military audiences, our hope is to de-stigmatize psychological injury and open a safe space for dialogue about the challenges faced by service members, veterans, and their caregivers and families.”

TTT Brings Its Model to The Public Theater
Ten Thousand Things Theater joined with The Public Theater in late 2010 to bring TTT’s unique model of theater creation, performance and outreach to New York audiences who have little or no access to the arts. The Public is one of the nation’s preeminent theaters and most respected producers of Shakespeare. Artistic Director Michelle Hensley directed Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, guiding staff and artists at The Public through TTT’s production model. The Public’s Oskar Eustis said, "We were thrilled to collaborate with Ten Thousand Things, a theater as impressive for its purity of mission as for the excellence of its artistry. Michelle Hensley has built a hidden national treasure in the Twin Cities; may her influence spread across America."
