Minnesota Opera Center
620 N. First Street, Minneapolis
There are two transfer areas with curb cuts and ramps/no stairs on N. First Street:
Option 1 is located just south of the Opera Center; traveling north, you will see a “No Parking” area in front of a building with a white garage door. You may unload/drop off here. The Opera center is approximately 200 feet further north. The sidewalk is in good shape and free of obstructions. (There is also a “No Parking” area directly in front of the Opera Center but there are three stairs and no curb cut.)

Option 2 is located just past the Opera Center, directly in front of the Lab Theater. There is a “Handicapped Transfer Only” area with a curb cut that leads to a wooden ramp. This ramp is somewhat uneven and narrow so please use caution. The Opera entrance is approximately 200 feet south.

There are meters on N. First Street, enforced Monday-Friday until 6:00 pm. A paid lot north of the Opera Center has six handicapped parking spaces. Once inside the Opera Center, an elevator located in the lobby area will bring you downstairs to the performance area.
