Theater of War partners with Ten Thousand Things for a dramatic reading of scenes from Sophocles’ ancient play timelessly depicting the psychological and physical wounds of war.

Theater of War is an innovative public health project that presents readings of the ancient Greek play Sophocles’ Ajax as a catalyst for town hall discussions about the challenges faced by service members, veterans, their families, caregivers and communities.

The readings are followed by comments from a diverse panel of military community members, as well as a town hall-style audience discussion moderated by Dr. Jon Hallberg. Admission is free but reservations are required and seating is limited.

  • In bringing Theater of War to the Twin Cities, we hope to generate compassion and understanding among diverse audiences of military and civilian backgrounds. Click for information about local organizations that provide opportunities to get involved.
